Genealogy research services

Family-line research from original parish books, civil registers, census, military and court records, read in the original languages.

Hire a professional genealogist who works in the archives of Poland, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus, Italy and Spain. Our genealogy research services trace a family line from what you know today back to the earliest surviving church and civil records.

What we research

Baptisms, marriages and burials from parish books; civil registers (from 1808 in central Poland, 1866 in Italy, 1871 in Spain, 1874 in Prussia); census, revision lists, military conscription files, land and court records. We follow every line as far as the records survive.

How a search runs

After the free assessment you approve a scope and budget. A researcher based in the country visits the archive, photographs the original entries and transcribes them. You receive a narrative report, a family tree and every scan, with each fact referenced to its source.

Languages and scripts

Latin, Polish, German (Kurrent and Sรผtterlin), Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Italian and Spanish records are read in the original.

How we avoid mistaken identities

We compare parents, spouses, residence, occupations, witnesses and dates across records. A matching surname or an unsourced online family tree does not establish a relationship. Conflicting ages or spellings are explained; uncertain connections remain marked as uncertain.

What belongs in your report

The agreed report includes findings with source references, an explanation of family connections, unresolved questions and a log of sources checked. Copies depend on the repositoryโ€™s permissions. Tell us in advance whether you need a family tree, full transcriptions or translations.

When a search stops

The scope and budget define how far we search. Missing registers, restricted records or insufficient identifying information may prevent a conclusion. We report the limitation and possible next sources before proposing further paid work.
